I asked this question yesterday and I like the idea of a 5-point harness the reinforcement. My son is still in a regular seat, but he knows how to unlock it. Is it difficult to disengage the harness 5 points in a brace? Does anyone else have a problem with that? My son is turning 4 June and I was looking for a seat for him. We traveled a bit as was looking for a comfortable. I'm not worried about the price either. I'm more concerned about safety and comfort.

You have to go to one of the distributors main (Mothercare / Halfords etc) and get one of those trained to help you choose a seat that fits your car. They are not universal! A bad seat assembly may actually be more dangerous than no security at all. So why is there little or no market for second hand child seats. Consider how much long you want the child to use the same seat as well ... Do not forget that it probably will til they are 12 (Since the law has changed this year) to try to find one in the back is removed and leaves you with a booster seat. otherwise you will be purchasing more seats in the future. We had 5-point harness on our own and that has worked very well, but if your child is an escape artist who likes the violin so he can find out anyway. You did not need to obtain a clip thats tight ... or better still ... show why it is so important that the belt is known not to escape. Good luck. GB
